Last two days

Image
Brock's a neat guy. Here is the action over the last few days. I forgot to say that Brock has joined a 3 and under Hell's Angels play group. He got some sweet ink to better raise Hell. this. baby. is. hard. core. Portrait style Murrays full color was the obvious choice. Here he is confronting the significance of his action... a full 3 hour pre-shower commitment. this. baby. is. hard. core.   The somewhat less known spin off of Edward Scissor hands... Brock chicken fingers.  Brock has been very focused and frustrated to complete a tree. Here is the fruit of his efforts, absolutely no help from either of us. this. baby. is. hard. core.

Science and Industry Museum

Image
Chicago is a museum haven. It was far past time to take the eager learner to one of Matt and I's favorite (no, not the surgery museum, we are saving that for later) ... the Science and Industry Museum. These pictures have been gathered over a few visits, we became immediate members.... winter is coming. Matt and Brock make a mini vortex. Matt and Brock levitate balls, with nothing.  Isn't this exactly what you think of when you think of science? Who is that ominous figure!? AHHHHH!! RUN!! IT'S SOOOO SNUGLY! Train section of the museum was a super duh Brock freak out.   A GIANT BABY IS ATTACKING THE SEARS TOWER! AHHHH!!! HE'S SOOOO SNUGLY!!   AHHH! THAT BIG BABY IS NOW ATTACKING THE SPACE NEEDLE! Pretty cool that the two train displays they have there are Seattle and Chicago.    Toddler zone found. aaavva mariiiiiaaaaa. He thought the giant water cannon was all wet. He thought the vacuum ball totally sucked. A

Brock and I made a day trip to the Nature Museum and had a lovely stroll down their pond side path. Along the way we encounters a flock of Matt's favorite of Earth's dear creatures, a flock of geese!  They say smell is the sense is most closely linked to memory; this theory was most supported as the fowl scent of geese poo. It brought me back to my youth, when the gaggles would parade zealously across our yard. Such a lovely trip ended with a BANG!!  Quite actually; we got rear-ended on the way home. Poor Mazda! Another victim of the city! Second hit this year! I think it is a sign to get those narwhals painted on it ASAP as tribute to the Car Gods.

Water Taxi to Chinatown

Image
OH we have just been having the most lovely weather! It has been most inspiring. I have noticed the Water Taxi pick up location on my walks east along North Ave. and have always wanted to check it out. Monday, with adventure at heart and time at hand we set fourth on a lovely trip to Chinatown!  Ahoy Mateys! It was Brock's first time on a boat. He was very excited on the walk over. When we got on it took a bit of coaxing to move him from this location out onto the stern to get an even better view. Once he got there, it was all smiles.  Matt and I both LOVE the architecture boat tour, and it is the number one destination we take visitors to. Needless to say, we have both been on it many many times. This trip was extra neato because we started further north and ended much further south, so we got views we had never seen before (and for only $6!!! About a fifth of the price a regular taxi would charge us to get to Chinatown!) so we saw lots of cool industrial
