I take the kids to Milwaukee!

Image
It has been our new annual event for me to take the kids somewhere close-ish so Matt can have the house for his baseball draft. With the show extended for as long as it could, it was time close it and I got to have a weekend! We went to Milwaukee and stayed in our favorite hotel there, the legendary Pfister. No trip to Milwaukee is complete without a trip to the Mars Cheese Castle. This year we all wore our matching shirts that were purchased there seasons ago! ding ding ding. Curd time. The esteemed court of cheese reigns supreme! Alice and Matt discovered how wrong our bug book was a while back with correctly representing the body of an ant. Alice pointed it out at during our visit to the Milwaukee Public Museum how an ant is supposed to look. Now that's an ant. Christening the hotel room with some madness. We love this hotel. The pool is great with a great view and warmish water, and there are happy hour snacks, a delightful breakfast and even late night munchies. We feast! Fin

And then there was February.

As the title says, this is the month in review. The kids had Sunday and Monday off for President's day and it was our only opportunity to ski all winter, what with my show and the complete lack of snow. We headed up to our wonderful friends house in Michigan to take on a little midwestern magic. Alice is a regular lifter now! Hoping for some big mountain action next year with Alice a bit older and ready for real lessons. Brock and two of his besties showcased at the school's history fair, their project was the Wright Brothers. The Irish cream brownies I made for a party night for my show, which is about war and sadness...but funny too! Alice made herself (and me) some floor cleaners. and some new eyeballs. Happy February!!

What happened in January.

Ok. In an effort to summarize my limited pictures representing a huge amount of happenings I shall do a summary of the months starting with January up in here. I opened an amazing show. We had house guests! Amazing visits from my Alaska girls, Jim and Julie and a visit from our dear friend Shannon as part of a bachelor-ette trip to Indiana. And this is what I have to show for it... Amazing restaurant fancy fancy fancy pants we ate at for Hana's girl party in Indiana. Alice made her face into a tissue box. Which we all needed for all of January. And most of February. But that is yet to come!!
