lucky #7 (or 7 year itch)

7 years! Love this guy! As usual, we celebrated where we signed the paperwork in Berrian County, Michigan.  This year we did something new and went on a cool sky walk over the marshes. We heard rumors of an amazing deli in Three Oaks called Drier's Meat Market.  Drier's is known for their liverwurst, lovingly renamed as "liver best". Brock tries it... and loves! Mommy, not so much, but I set a good example for trying new things.  Just a bit creepy. Alice is into it. We hit the regular spots; Treemendous Fruits for apple picking. And growth analysis. Alice standing tall! Brock standing silly! On the wagon off to find the rare hooples, mommy's favorites. Here they are! Some fun times with the boys while the girls fave fun time with the "girls" in the car. Small troll under the bridge. Brock is remarkably chill holding back the zombie from eating me. Pinchin

I made a gingerbread house with my lady friends! Does it look familiar? Here is the crew. As you can see I went rouge. They took the photo before I was done, but you can see it as a work in progress. Brock was a bit jealous, so I promised we would make one on daddy's poker day. I shamefully used a kit, but Brock still added his personal touches. That is a heart made out of gummies. a charming pair.

Yeah. We went to dinner at our friend Sarah's and this is how it ended up.

Bathroom party

We've been sharing a bathroom for about 2 months now while the saga of our master bath repair continues. This was a particularly festive morning. We had better get used to this as we are moving into the two bedroom in a couple months!

Daddy Trap

Brock makes "traps" for us baited with adult beverages. Note the predatory fish ready to attack. This trap was exceptional because of its excellent grammar, spelling and cleverness; a fun morning surprise.

It's that holiday time again! You are thinking this was going to be a Christmas post as it is almost Christmas time, but no! In blog years it is still October! Which means Halloween! We pick grapes as part of our anniversary events and Grape Delight pie is now an annual event. Doesn't it look tempting? Brock's pumpkin carving. That is Alice's knobby gord to the right. She was a bit knobby in personality back then so we thought it fitting.  Matt's Russian-nesting-doll-esque pumpkin... a scream within a scream within a scream. You can't really see mine to the right but it is a coiled up cobra. You probably thought Alice was preparing to administer brain surgery, but no, she is a tiny jellyfish. Brock's choice this year was, indeed, jellyfish. Here is Matt as a Portuguese Man of War and a better picture of our little brain surgeon  jellyfish. We are at Boopallooza, an annual event in Wicker Park. Sooo, Matt won a prize for on
