Random Alice-ness

Nothing crazy here. Just feel it's been a bit since we caught up with baby Al. She hit 9.5 lbs today on her 2 month check in, up 5 lbs since birth! Way to go. Now she is in the 6th percentile. Killin' it girrrrl. She is not "cooing" yet, but I really think we have gotten a few smiles from her. Here are just some shots of everyday nothings.

San Fran crew midwest pop-in

On their way back from a friend trip in Michigan, we got a delightful pop in from the Penko/Thomas crew. Just in time to celebrate two birthdays, Brock, and Alice's!   They came in on Brock's b-day proper and we made our way to their introduction to mom and dad's lake bus house. See Brock's big 5 post for more on this important portion. Birthdays are fun? Ok, whew, yes, birthdays are fun. Wisely, Jake Joanne and Nate opted to stay in the awesome trendy hipster hotel down the way as our house with the new baby was total chaos. We egged them on to stay at the Robey so we could try out the rooftop pool. Which turned out to be pretty much public access with the purchase of a drink. Alice's first lay-out poolside.  The next morning before J's&N head back after a very fun and brief two days, we have Domingo waffles at the casa. Nate is let in on the whip. Nae Nae optional (oh that was

Brock's big 5

Well, amidst the chaos of a newborn, family, house falling apart there was a very special boy who sallied forth into his 5th year. Not wanting Alice's birth to overshadow such an occasion (thank goodness she had the decency to not come ON his day) we went the distance this year. He had originally said he just wanted to celebrate his birthday at the bus house with swimming, which I was delighted by, but come closer to the day, he said he really wanted a party with his friends. So we had 2 parties, pushovers that we (I) am.  On Brock's real B-day, he requested a bus house day with the Gdonuts. Super added bonus was Jake and Joanne and cousin Nate.  With 2 grand kids, a new lake inflatable was in order. Brock's present quotient this year will not be sustainable. It was good timing with baby Alice and keeping it special, but I had to completely purge the toy shelf between storage and give-away to accommodate all the booty. Awesome water theme from Jake and
