A jiggly O'Hallows

It's that holiday time again! You are thinking this was going to be a Christmas post as it is almost Christmas time, but no! In blog years it is still October! Which means Halloween! We pick grapes as part of our anniversary events and Grape Delight pie is now an annual event. Doesn't it look tempting? Brock's pumpkin carving. That is Alice's knobby gord to the right. She was a bit knobby in personality back then so we thought it fitting.  Matt's Russian-nesting-doll-esque pumpkin... a scream within a scream within a scream. You can't really see mine to the right but it is a coiled up cobra. You probably thought Alice was preparing to administer brain surgery, but no, she is a tiny jellyfish. Brock's choice this year was, indeed, jellyfish. Here is Matt as a Portuguese Man of War and a better picture of our little brain surgeon  jellyfish. We are at Boopallooza, an annual event in Wicker Park. Sooo, Matt won a prize for on

Holly was missing a couple pictures in her post that I feel needed to be seen.  The father son selfie.  And the baby and mom reality. Thanks Holly!

Alice Being Cute

Sometimes Alice likes to help out in the kitchen. Sometimes she just likes to relax. But she LOVES wearing a turban.  It's her favorite.

A Dumb Idea

We took a 3-month old to a monster truck show. Need I say more? Ok, I'll say a little more... guess how much cotton candy cost... were you going to overkill and say say $10? Nope, 20.  Ok, one more thing. It was pretty fun.

Alice update

Although I spend 20 hours a day with her, I can't seem to wrangle up a blog post about our other little nugget. Miss Alice is coming along nicely, it has been interesting to compare Brock's blog at this time to Alice's. Being born a month early might explain some of the differences. She still has plenty of time to catch up to Brock's baby tree trunk thighs. ok, that was a good warm up....  It has been fascinating. Everyone calls Alice a boy, even in pink, although she does sport Brock's blue carseat and fleece... and everyone called Brock a girl. They just look like babies to me!  Brock made Alice her "first fort" today. He was super cute and said that this fort was great because it was made with his love. ahhhhhh. I'll remind him of this when she is screaming in the car. We recently went to a monster truck show and we kept the noise silence headphones in the car for him. It seems that history indeed repeats itself, if any of you
