And then we moved in...and also ate turkey

Some more recent house pictures. We have a lot of updating to do here, but hey, one day at a time. And till then, we are just a bit busy getting boxes unpacked, dust swept off, furniture shopped for (ha, not delivered till APRIL...dumb dumb COVID) and Christmas deployed. But what an amazing place and time. Speaking of which, guess who came to visit us for Thanksgiving? Our brave and fearless allies of the midwest, the GOmahas!! It really was a special trip, we had shown the house to maybe one other family and it truly is not a house until you see your loved ones in it (hint hint, come visit us when all this nonsense blows over!). So we had this feast and toasted in the new house with our dear dear dear family. Matt and I were on our annual diet that had been delayed because of COVID carb therapy and moving around so much. And then, we didn't have a place to live. Part I: St. Louis

 It's true! The house was not done, the lease was up, it was the middle of COVID (maybe not, I don't know when the end is, so I couldn't tell you where the middle was) and we were out on the street! So we packed and packed and packed (poorly I might add) and stored stuff and then hit the road. First stop, a fancy hotel across the street we always wanted to try, the Robie.  Alice likes hotels. and crackers. Then, off to ST. LOUIS!!! Yes! We stopped to disc golf about halfway to st louis. We got about 10 holes in before the rain came down. Right when we walked back to our car...SPIDERMAN! First stop in St. Louis, the Botanical gardens. It was interesting to compare different states and cities and their COVID policies. In Chicago, at the time, you did not have to wear a mask outside, but when you did have to wear a mask, everyone over the age of 3 had to abide. In St. Louis, anyone over the age of 12 had to wear a mask pretty much all the time, including outside. So the kids L
