More Skiing! Mt. Baker and Big Sky
We actually went real skiing this year! I started out the trend with a quick weekender to Mt. Baker in Washington (PC aside: we all got COVID tested before we left) to catch up with my Alaska besties and get some SNOW!! and more snow, and more snow and more snow and more snow and more snow and more snow and more snow....
Megan and Catherine in line for beverages. My friend Susan also made it out from Friday Harbor to complete our foursome from high school. It really didn't stop snowing, but for the 2 hours out of two days we saw sky it was just sunsational!
We got up early to take in a river side hike before we went to the top of the hill. The mountain town of Glacier was very charming. But do I have pictures of it or the adorable Airbnb we stayed in? Nonsense.
Oh how I love the greenery of the PNW!! Moss abounds.
Megan is a force in the kitchen; her instagram pics are truly magazine worthy- here she shares Empress Gin, made from Peaberry blossom, that turns purple with tonic!!! I.AM.GETTING. Ok, so enough about me...
Then we went on an epic all family trip to Big Sky Montana!! The first time the kids have flown since February of last year. Here we are at the air port admiring a dinosaur skeleton.
and really just admiring the airport...how we've missed it!
Alice got her own seat for the first time. She had such a great time and loved her own personal screen.
Brock building a dashing snow penguin outside the airbnb.
And here we are! First day the snow was not great but the sun was beautiful. Second day, snow was FABULOUS (although Brock did not like powder!!) but no sky. Aaaaannnnddd. Yeah. That appears to be all of our pictures from this awesome weekend. We went with our close friends, Hana, Brad and baby Kona. But would you know that from this post? No. Would you know that Alice hated daycare and slept for 5 hours? Maybe. But not from our pics! Would you be able to take in Brock's bravery and speed? Nopins. Well, maybe next time. We went, we did it, and so glad we finally got up the gumption to get us all back out there on the mountain. Can't wait for next year! The promise of more snow, adventures, and maybe even some pictures.
