Chicago History Museum
Spring break was here and with it, the quest for activities. I scored a museum pass at the library (unheard of, especially during spring break... not sure what that says about the jive between the Chicago History Museum and children...) that gives us all free entry.
Chicago's classic Matt-dog.
and the highly popular Brock-dog
double dog... daaaang that looks good.
Chicago's first steam engine with a crazy engineer. I'm told child labor wasn't really a thing then...
The first EL train in Chicago! A highly distinguished and plush (not bad for 5 cents a ride!) If I was riding during the time I might never have gotten off to go to work. Unless I was less than 5'8"... I had to stand on my tip toes to reach the standing rungs. Matt told me that there were gentlemen then and that I likely wouldn't have had to stand. Who knows how many ladies were even riding the EL then...
