Omaho ho ho
We delighted in our annual celebration of the Christmas and the family fun with Gpa&Gma Cerney with the Knights to boot.
Speaking of Knights, apparently they found them in the playground.
Nothing like a good old holiday ring toss... IN THE FACE!!
No, you are not seeing doubles! Two trees! Why the heck not. Max is not having it (just kidding, that thought Max was not documented as having, about the trees, or even anything, it just seemed to go with my tree comment that was meant to highlight the pair of tannenbaums and Max's amazing face that belongs on Home Alone 8's promotional poster. Apologies.)
Who's a baby in a Christmas tutu tutu? You are, yes you are, yes you are!
Not the family. Or the building. No no. Everything inside the store was $5. But wait. On Mondays, everthing is 2 for $5, on Tuesday, 3 for $5 and Thursday... you guessed it, but no, you probably didn't guess it, 10 for $5. Oh it is a horder's paradise. And we came to visit. It was a place.
"What did they get?!! WHAT DID THEY GET!!!???" You're thinking, I know you are. So much, so so much. The GOmahas gave the kid's each $5 bucks and they went to town. Brock seemed to get into it the most and brought home a giant spider, bat lights, and numerous other pretty dumb but joy bringing things. Matt got a new do and looks very trying-too-hard cool band dad.
Kids were delighted to make their own little santa socks. Sadly, Brock gooed it up too much to be dry enough to receive goodies; happily, goodies were piled up regardless.
Here they are explaining their masterpieces:

Oh and Christmas eve readings with Gma. This year Brock felt comfortable enough in his boyhood to shack up with the couzes. It was adorable.
This is a cute family.
Oh yes, Gma P-rolls are the best.
And Gma kisses are the best!
All the kiddos together! This was years in the making!!
Another cute family.
Weird, but cute.
Maybe just weird.
Aunty and Al for a Christmas snoog.
Brock's short santa list contained three things, one was a giant snuggly crocodile.
Who had a lot to say to Matt.
Unc and Al have a vivid exchange.
Croc IN THE FACE.
The next series of pics is entitled "I got me something great".

And who is this? Alice's gift from Matt and I, Murray's sister Merna.
Alice "got something great" that was a gift to us all too.
Matt apparently wanted the same.
For now, this is as close as Alice can get to a good scotch.
Brock and Madeline testing out Brock's new fort kit from the Knights.
I can't believe there was a time not so long ago when this enticing specimen was calmly rejected. It was delicious. I especially appreciate the side dishes in the background not featured... mini-carrots and grapes.
Dem young folk though still prefer the starches. And that concludes with pictures obtained regarding the day of Christmas 2018.
Omaha has the best Zoo ever. Here we are with the delightful Sherry, Julie's dear friend, zoo docent and all around animal expert. She is giving us the inside scoop on the baby gorilla.
Here is Sherry giving her info on the adorable gorilla baby new to the zoo.
Next day? I think so. Yes. Ninja Warrior gym awesomeness.
Madeline mastering the spider jump.
Brock as well!
Matt as well!
Conversations are more profound over a Chinese buffet.
On a Cerney day, we headed to the Squirrel Cage Jail. An historical jail that was structured like a rotating cylinder. It was fascinating!!
Here is Matt re-enacting a scene with prisoner taking a poo. Brock is playing the role of the disillusioned inmate.
See? Prison is fun.
Oh this is one of my favorite photos. Apparently the Claus finally got canned for serial breaking and entering.
What happens in the Squirrel Cage, stays in the Squirrel Cage.
Oh gawd, this is actually really creepy. This is from an ax-murdering serial killer named Jake; one of the cage's permanent residents.
The following day the Knights were off with the other Knights. And when the Knights are away, the Cerney's do play. The Gmaha's took us to this splendid beer-cade where we played awesome old pinball machines, had a bit of ski-ball, and of course, had a few pints (and some DELICIOUS ice-cream too!!)
Grandma is amazed.

We played some skiball and Brock put two balls in the 10k to beat grandma.
Grandma is amazed.
A delayed gift from the Knights, "cuppy" is one of Alice's all time favorite toys.
Max is the brother Alice never had in the sense that he loved to make her laugh. Here he demonstrating his amazing discovery of jumping in front of her to her ASTOUNDING delight.
AGAIN! AGAIN! (now featured at Coco Keys).
Here is a sample of the magic.
Alice just makes fun noises in general.

Oh Wacky Blasters. The favorite board game at the G'rents house. Please, may it stay as a treat to be played there.
And before too long our time is up, and goodbyes are partook of.
So much love to and from our most amazing hosts and delightful fellow guests. I can say I am truly grateful for the pampering after the craziest year ever. Merry Christ-March (get it!! ho ho!) to all and can't wait till the next adventure.
