Brock's Online Learning Extravaganza
Brock has done a bunch of stuff and also a whole lot of nothin' during this here a pandemic. His favorite online learning platforms were (ARE) Khan Academy, Spelling City, Raz Kids and Dragon Box. Here are just a few of his selections.
A piece about Spring that Brock did in his online art class.
And a card Brock made for his teacher, Ms. Manon thanking her for the year. That is Ms. Manon flying a ship that is raining down CORONA vaccine on the world.
Brock has done a lot of worksheets. They take him 5 minutes to do and me 10 minutes to take a picture of, download and upload. But he has enjoyed having his best snuggly friend, Murray, be a part of all the posting.
This is Brock's final draft of his continent research paper.
I don't know what is going on here. In fact, I think I put it in upside down. It's, MODERN.
Brock's assignment was to make a piece inspired by the natural history wing of the Chicago Art Institute. Here is still life with Walrus. Brock's is the sculpture, in case you didn't get that.
Brock's grand finale was his Harry Potter diorama. He and we worked a long time on it and it has many animated features.
His class met live everyday, and they presented their dioramas all week. We had some special guests in the online audience, GparentsOmaha and the M-Team live from Seattle!! This is the whole class session, but I wanted it to live here in blogland for posterity, as it will always be one of the bright spots for me out of this madness. He presents last, so feel free to jump ahead if you want!
And then for class awards for the year, Brock's peers named him:
A gawd. We do not need another one of these weirdos in the house. :)
Love you my dear boy!! Thank you for hanging in there and having a pretty darn good attitude while your mother was losing her mind. He might have even learned something. Sigh. Till fall.
