Alice toots to the tune of TWO!!

I saw this in my Blogger drafts and was like, omg what is wrong with us? Well, our beautiful creature is two now! We started it out the night before by smuggling in balloons to her room while she slept. Oh the giftys were plentiful. And, I remember when we lived in that apartment! So August of 2020. In the morning Alice rumbles with her brother in a crib of joy. Brock made Merna (Myrna? Mirna? I don't know if we have official consensus on this) and all of us hats for the occasion. Everyone is dressed up for the occasion. Brock crowns the queen of the day. and sports his own marvelous head adornment. Merna cupcakes in blackberry and chocolate, which are her two current favorite flavors. Mom and dad came down to the city to join the fun! We went out to get Alice's favorite, MEAT. Shame on us! Covid19 5Star getaway to Omaha

Oh hush you. In May, after two months of quarantine, mixed with the promise of good company, good food, open restaurants and shops and a yard is a recipe for a road trip. With the Board of Trade closed, DePaul virtual and Brock's school virtual, it was the perfect time to get away to really the only place we could go. But such a great place!! OMAHA!! YAS! We arrived just in time for Mother's day and snugs. Each year we have a tradition of getting a family portrait in the old timey photo booth at the alternative books store that uses real film to process on. This year, no go of course, so we did what we could with our phones and paint. Brock has been getting into sewing machine sewing and made Grandma some moon and star sachets. So dainty, including the underwear he painted on them. Everyone is in for some Yertle. It's mother's day. And we are in free and clear Omaha.
