Turkey in Tucson

Ah! Thanksgiving in March! How ideal. At least the presentation of such. This year the kids had the whole week off!! CPS finally found a way to cure the strange two-day sickness that came over 75% of all children in the district preceding Thanksgiving break. We have begun to make an annual trip to my folks out in Tucson during this time to get in a years worth of missing my side of the line! This year was  real treat, we added on the extra time in Sedona to hike and get mom and dad a small adventure outside the Tucson area. Such a delight. For my ease in managing over 20 pics, as mentioned, I've switched to sharing links to the album with some comments there. Hope you enjoy! Chick on the picture or the text that says, "Album" below to see the glory.

As usual I can't believe I took no pictures of our amazing feast with special thanks to Joanne for her culinary mastery, Matt for his sou chef expertise, and my conciliatory job of pastry chef. Jake gets stuck on children and dishwasher duty, no small task. Mom and dad have the assigned to TV duty, making sure we don't watch too much golf, CNN, or cartoons that are just way too dumb. Other wonderful moments not featured here are:

Dessert night at my cousin Jackie's and boyfriend's Brian's new place with joyous attendance from other cousin, sister Jenny

Joanne and I raid my mom's patterns from the 50's through the 80's (WHO has a size 23" waist? Alice? Anyhow...)

People swim a lot

We play Hearts a lot

Love you all and wish we could do it more often! Luckily, a year tends to go pretty fast these days.
