Easter 2023 and MATT 40

Easter fell on the day after our return from our awesome spring break cruise! Be on the look out for that post in October (just kidding I hope). But the bunny still managed to make an appearance.

Alice crushed this year!

Let the puzzle begin!

Found. Ahhh, bunny should have put it in with the egg cartons. Missed opportunity, bad bunny.

Brrr.
Alice finds her basket in her dirty clothes.

Rats.

Laundry was the theme. This is where Brock found his basket.

Here was the Brock hunt break down, bunny might need to step it up to more math equations, Brock flew through. Except for one of those clues, the one that looks like a flower/ fan... more on that...

Alice also few through, except for I think the closet one. There was a magic moment when Brock couldn't figure out the flower/ fan clue and Alice couldn't figure out the closet one. We encouraged the children to talk to each other, and they both instantly recognized the other's stumper. And baskets were had.

Brock got this amazing toilet paper video game. I can't explain, we must play.

I tried to make the cinnamon rolls look like bunnies, they ended up like bull dogs... if I'm being generous.

Even with vacationing, I managed to freeze away part of Matt's birthday carrot cake for the day. We didn't do ribs this year, also a Matt's birthday party casualty, as we decided to ribs as the main course for that, so we didn't want to double up two weekends of smoking. Speaking of which, we had a giant party for Matt's 40th the following weekend. It was  blur, and the first real party we've hosted at the new house. The day was a blur, so we didn't take photos, but here is his invite and his cupcakes (not featured are the Scream apple pies, vegan glutton free cupcakes, ribs, cornbread, collard greens, decorations, friends, bon fire and beautiful weather ! We went with a Scream theme...

April is such a brutal month, so grateful for a cruise, Easter, and a party to break up the grey!

But wait! Let's end on an Easter note! Egg dying happened later while I was in rehearsal for a show. But it happened! Thank you Matt! This year, with inflation, the cost of eggs, the only medium love of eating hard-boiled eggs, we did raw eggs! Dangerous living is good living.

The dirty dozen. Great job Easter.
