A Day at the Park
Today it got over 50 degrees for the first time in forever, so it was off the park! Brock hasn't really been at a park since Thanksgiving in Seattle. We're not really sure he remembers it. Regardless, Brock is going through so such drastic changes in awareness it seems like he's reexperiencing everything for the first time all the time. And most of it delights him. He liked sitting at watching all the other kids run around and play and splash in the snow puddles, but nothing could match his love for the swings. We waited a good 10 minutes or so for one to open up (a busy day at the park amidst such a brutal winter) and Brock was not really sure if he'd like what happened next.
(excuse the video quality. i only had my phone camera, and two arms)
Lucky for us, a couple of the swings cleared out and remained open (Brock was putting on quite a show, and I think the parents were just embarrassed that their children weren't nearly as cute), so we swung and swung and swung until Brock had giggled himself exhausted.
Sadly it's supposed to snow again tomorrow. But we'll be back, Brock. Spring is coming soon...
