Brock in School

Well, it has just been an amazing few months of Brock attending Montessori. We had our parent teacher conference yesterday and have been all a-beam since. A progress report was sent home with us and its contents were fascinating. After many pages, here was the summery:

Description of Child’s Personality: Brock is friendly and very polite. He likes to be engaged in detailed conversations. His vocabulary is developmentally advanced. Naturally he gets frustrated at times when faced with more challenging works. However, when he gets angry, he wants to stop the work. We would like to see him overcome challenges calmly.

Our impression from the conference is that Brock has charmed them all and they were pretty much a wall of smiles. We also finally cleared up the naptime potty issue and we are all just going to let him sleep and pee! Yay! With emphasis on not peeing of course, but no more waking up weirdness. Also, Brock has really taken to Spanish. He knows several words now and we are told his pronunciation is very good.

The school has done a great job of taking pictures everyday of the students. Brock and I go through them the following morning and he tells me who everyone is and what he is doing in the photos. I've included most of them to give you a sense of what this one has been doing with his days. There are a lot here. Not really in any order because I uploaded them in sequence of alphabetical image name and am not attempting to reorganize the mass. He looks like he is getting along quite fine.

They had a leaf nature collection day...

This photo was taken on their trip to the pumpkin patch field trip. Matt and I could not go, and felt awful since almost all the other parents went! Missed opportunity. Anyhow, Brock got to have Michelle, his favorite teacher as his special guardian for the day and he said he had a great time.

 This is Michelle.

 Proof of bus nap.

Brock never passes up a goat opportunity.

His great teachers in full spirit.

Here Brock is with Ms. Janet. She is great and speaks like 5 languages. She is his Spanish teacher.
