GMaha's for the Forth!

The G's of Omaha's new camper van and its wonderful inhabitants made a fabulous voyage to Chicago to take in a show, celebrate Merica's birthday, and partake in countless hugs and good times.  We first took in the show "My Fair Lady" in proper fancy style, and had snacks at the tiki lounge, Three Dots and a Dash!

The next day, Julie and I get the treat of a long stroll and shop. We went all the way to the lake and then circled by the neighborhood Old Town, where Matt and I first met. And actually where I first met Julie! A few years gone, the wonderful Bistrot Margot... R.I.P. Julie and I actually tried to find it...

Nope, this isn't it.

I actually had to look up the address on my phone! It was totally gone. This building is in its place now.

Hello small ones! Living room madness ensues.

A camper van transmission issue re-directed our Great America trip to a nameless suburb along the way. Here we are amusing ourselves with the introduction of blind man's bluff at a wonderfully placed walk-able playground.

But a wonderful time was had regardless! In the area was an awesome Jewish Deli and nickle arcade that we had a blast at! Six flags, schmags! We got pastrami and wak-a-mole (aka, Sponge Bob)!

No visit is complete without a disc golf excursion. Here we are taking a break at the Canyons course's awesome playground.

oh boy oh boy oh boy! We save cleaning the rat cage just for you Grandma! I think the sisters won her over with their charming ways.

seriously adorable.

who's a dirty cutey ratty snoogy boogy lovey dovey!!!!

And badminton to the pain. Speaking of "to the pain", have you ever played Dos with grandpa?

Fireworks mayham in Smith Park Chicago style. Nothing official, or legal, but a quite a show.

We met up with friends there, Brock and Lucca protect themselves from fireworks fallout with sunglasses and a blanket.

A fantastic finale to a great visit with an easier goodbye...we'll see them next week!! We love retirement too (even if it isn't ours)!
