Mix-master Brock

Brock says some pretty funny stuff these days. We're not always sure where it comes from. I think in this particular case one of us referred to Brock as a "Perplexus-master" as he played with the puzzleballs. The next day he was mastering everything. It started while eating a ring pop. "I am the ring-pop master," Brock declared, "Because I am good at ring-pops." Later, while snuggling, "I am the blanket-master, 'cause I love blankets." He also declared himself breadmaster while eating bread, but my favorite was while he played with the kitchenaide mixer: "I am the mix-master!" Yes you are Brock. Here are some more random ramblings from Brock:

Brock likes to open and close one of our screw-top water bottles. I walked in on him practicing openning and closing while having a fascinating conversation with himself. "OPEN IT till an elmo comes... CLOSE IT for another elmo... OPEN IT till an elmo comes... CLOSE IT for another elmo... OPEN it for elmo to come through the bedtime door. Get all covered in CHEESY SAUCE!!" I really have no idea what was going on there, but I laughed.

Mommy had her first day of work since the week before thanksgiving yesterday. Brock missed her more than usual and talked about her a lot. Daddy just wasn't playing right.
"Build a LARGE pool with blocks."
"A pool out of blocks?"
"Mommy built one earlier."
"Ok, Brock. I'll try."
"Mommy tried. And mommy DID IT!"
"Ok, Brock. Give me a little bit to put it together."
(small pause)
"Daddy's still building pool. Mommy built pool really fast."

His last bit of cuteness came while we were looking at Max and Madeline's blog. Brock LOVES to look at pictures and video's of his elder cousins, especially Madeline. We were looking at a picture of Madeline pumping water into a duck-chute at her local pumpkin patch. Brock asked, "why is Madeline's mouth open?" I replied, "well maybe that's just how she concentrates best. Or maybe she was talking to someone or yelling, 'quack!'" Brock though about this a while, then replied, "Maybe she's saying, 'Brock, come back.'"

Brock misses you all.
